Blogging Best Practices – Because you can grow your business by blogging

I saw an article the other day that said 30% of new publishing contracts for business textbooks are being offered to bloggers, on the basis of their published work online.  Makes sense doesn’t it? A blog shows a potential publisher that you can write; you do write, and that what you write has interest to thousands (if you follow the rules for getting your blog more widely read and connected) of people worldwide.  For we small practitioners, a blog offers lots of opportunities to help you

1. develop your profile and build a relationship with your readers,
2. develop your thinking and your ‘voice’ which helps you to differentiate you from your competitors, and
3. build a foundation of written materials for use with clients and publication, if that’s the way you want to go.

So if you want to start to blog, grow your blog and your blog’s audience then it’s very important that you understand the blogging best practices provided below.  The more familiar you are with these ‘rules’, the better your chances for blogging success.  Then who knows what’s possible?
