What do you think of this great article addressing poor business presentation visuals?
The main ideas are:
– Presentation visuals should be visual based.
– Start preparing your presentation away from the computer.
– Tell stories and entertain your audience.
It’s not groundbreaking stuff, but it’s great to see the issue addressed by people like the Financial Times, because I think it’s time we addressed the huge amount of poor presentations given each year – and the negative effects they have on the businesses concerned.
“Slides should only exist to be projected, never printed and never shared. Asking for a copy of slides should become a sackable offence,” says Mr Walken. Or, as Jim says, “great presentation visuals make poor hand-outs.”
What do you think?
