Scott Berkun Hates Prezi- and he’s got a point
I see his point, and feel no need to comment, or disagree. In short, he says-
To this day I have yet to see a Prezi presentation that would not have been better had the speaker used something else, including nothing at all. Many presentations would be better if the speaker just spoke, sans slides or any props at all.
Here’s the full post and do take time to read some of the rest of his blog, it’s really good. And here for more more from me on how you can speak ‘sans slides’ or Prezi.
I largely agree with Scott Berkun’s argumentation. IMHO Prezi may be good as a mind mapping tool, but most presentations tend to be overdone as they are trying to maximize the application’s complex structuring, navigation and visualization capabilities.

I put Prezi in the same basket with Comic Sans.
Ecccch!
Hi Fred- or may I call you fabulous? I think that you’re right on many occasions, and I love the fact that you used such an obscure typographical (mixed too) metaphor to do it. Thanks from a guy who’s very much Times New Roman. Jim
