Here’s an example of the Prezi presentation that I used in my short speech to ‘The Inspired Group’ meeting in Cambridge, UK this evening. The subject was ‘How to add wisdom, guile and breadth to your inner circle…’ for entrpreneurs and small business owners who are members of this lively and well-run networking group. Thanks to Ann Hawkins, the brilliant ‘engine’ behind this and many other services to people like me. Thanks too to the 40 or so people in the audience for taking part and making me feel so welcome.
In previous posts I talked about excessive zooming and panning as a ‘danger’ for presenters when using Prezi. It can induce nausea in the audience, if overdone, and so this set of slides is designed to be used by the presenter as simple visual support for the speech, rather than the speech itself. I’ve kept the visuals and the effects simple, and it won’t necessarily, make sense as a ‘read’. So any nausea tonight was entirely of the speaker’s making!
What do you think? Does this example Prezi help you, and make you more confident about using it in the future?
