How Microsoft killed the art of public speaking- Ed Reid’s Blog

Here’s another funny piece to make you think, from Ed Reid, a brilliant independent consultant based in the UK . How Microsoft killed the art of public speaking « EdReidYork’s Blog.

I’m not soooo likely to blame Microsoft.  I’d rather have Bill Gates’s rampant commercialism that Steve Jobs’ hippy schtick any day.

And we punish the guy that pulled the trigger in murder cases; not the maker of the gun, don’t we?

But PowerPoint does seems to be the weapon of choice for corporate bores doesn’t it?

This is a part of my Fit, Focus & Flair model. To be great, a presentation must be a perfect FIT for the situation; the content must have complete FOCUS on it’s purpose and message; and it must have enough FLAIR to stand out on the day, and in our memories.
